Luke Burrell

Founder and Director

Luke moves easily between vision and action, imagination and implementation. He lives in the space where creativity, strategy and technology meet, helping leaders and founders see what’s possible and then walk towards it with conviction.

For more than two and a half decades, he has helped leaders and organisations align their purpose with culture and communication, shaping brands that don’t just succeed in the moment but endure.

Luke’s role is to hold both vision and action in focus. He works closely with founders, executives and teams to uncover intent, draw out potential and bring clarity to complex challenges. Known for his contagious energy and unconventional thinking, he helps leaders imagine what’s possible and then walk towards it with conviction.

Luke’s journey with Mezzanine began with his brother Shane, and together they built the business as more than a consultancy — as an ongoing adventure. Along the way they explored publishing, storytelling and post-production, all carrying the same heartbeat: to connect creativity with conviction and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Mezzanine remains the centre of that journey, partnering with start-ups, universities, government bodies and long-standing organisations across Australia and beyond.

His experience spans national and international organisations including Xero, the Smart Energy Council, Singularity University, Compassion, the Salvation Army and CanTeen. Whether working with large institutions or emerging ventures, Luke’s focus has always been the same: aligning values, mindset and purpose to create meaningful impact and strategies that endure.

For Luke, creativity is not just a skill but a reflection of the Creator and a reminder of why we are here: to build, to serve and to contribute to the flourishing of people and communities. This belief shapes the way he leads Mezzanine, the way he works with clients, and the way he lives.
